Highfield and Brookham are charming country prep and pre-prep schools offering an exceptional all-round education for children aged 3-13. Set within 175 acres of stunning grounds, the schools are ideally located only an hour from London, on the borders of Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex. For our thriving community of boarders, there is also a weekend shuttle service to London.
The schools enjoy outstanding academic success, and one of the great features of Highfield is the supportive, collaborative process it provides to parents in helping them identify the right Senior School for their child. Highfield feeds the top Senior Schools in the country and enjoys a flawless track record of securing every child’s place at their first choice school, as well as an excellent scholarship success rate.
There is an abundance of sport played by pupils at Highfield and Brookham, and sport is an integral part of the broad curriculum we offer. Our specialist coaches work with children right from Nursery, and by Year 2, they have the opportunity to take part in matches against other schools, both home and away. Alongside extensive playing fields we have an indoor swimming pool, squash court, tennis courts, golf course, cross country course and a sports hall. Children enjoy Games lessons every day with weekly fixtures on Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well as weekly Physical Education and Swimming lessons.
In general the facilities at the schools are enviable and enable us to offer an enormous breadth in the curriculum, as well as a plethora of extra-curricular activities. Facilities include a music school, art school, new science and DT labs and a renovated theatre, nursery and indoor swimming pool.
Above all, our pupils are happy and fulfilled. There are fields and woodlands to explore and trees to climb; it’s a place where children really can still be children. Whether you eventually choose day or boarding, co-educational or single sex, Highfield and Brookham provide a wonderful and relevant experience for your child, ensuring they leave us as happy and well-rounded individuals, full of enthusiasm to tackle the next stage of their learning journeys.
